Have realised that i had the most precious thing in my hand and realised it too late too, when its slipped away.

I rather wonder at the best kept secret which is just a process to everyone.

The process which has to be spent according to unseen rules by unseen people.

Do we do what the society says when it comes to our money , supposedly the most precious denomination in everyone’s life ? Definitely not – it’s mostly envy , sloth, greed, jealousy, wants, and all the other sins which dictate its uses.

It should be defined as a sin to waste time the most precious commodity in our hands . It should amount to culpable homicide and treated so..

It rather irks to know that timberlake has made it believable with his wooden expressions. Perhaps its a requisite for the role, wooden but true.

Let me begin by saying that myths are real. I don’t know about the bogey man , but let me assure you that pirates are real.
They plunder , they are swift and Yes they make you remember your maker
If its seems like the beginning of a B grade movie script yes, you are rite.

There, was our ship anchored somewhere near Singapore – The lights of Singapore could be seen blazing away on a Sunday night .
Singapore partied and so did we along with her.

We were all in high mood, having just made out of a storm off the east cost.

The party went on till wee hours( past midnight-a rarity in a tanker Of course).
The crew were asked to wind down after 12pm by the top two and then the ship became silent.

At 2 pm, there was this sudden siren, ALERT.. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.. PIRACY ATTACK. REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

Before my jumbled brains could process the information, i could hear running feet and alleyway doors being shut. As part of emergency drill procedure, i rushed to the bridge with my life-jacket. The bridge doors we secured after my entry and so was the engine room doors.

We waited with full flood lights.. for the pirates.The ship was searched from top to bottom and all cabins we declared unfit. The coast guard from Malaysia and Singapore were alerted.
Slowly news tricked in,–The pirates had escaped – They had stuck on the mother ship and tied down duty the engineers and made of millions in goods.

Their speedboats were roaring away in the distance… when we heard the roar of the coastguards ships and search helicopters.
Yes we were safe, but for how long.
We were anchored and no chance of moving away till the operations were finished which was 24 hours away.

We were all questioned on what we saw and when the noon sun was blazing upon us, i was allowed to go back to my cabin, A slumber which still is awakened by the sound of the guns blazing away.
Yes myths are real and when we meet one, we realize why we prefer to have myths!!

China

The year 2010 iam naming as my year of travel.,Let me begin with china— ningbo. city. near to shanghai . My expectation of china was well a combination of cambodia and singapore and india., There was this huge population right,,,My first question on arrival was .. where are the millions supposed to be living here….Either they are all at shanghai or hidden away somewhere behind those landscapes. Ningbo is a port city and largely catering to container traffic….so was expecting like bad roads, crowded places and what not.. What did i get.. landscapes.. huge 6 lanes and beautiful roads.. This fixation about roads might be an indian phenomenon.. well i didnt find the roads to be great even on the Marseilles stretch from martigues.. The vast open spaces were a city in the making. The chinese, i would say , have got the right order of doing things… they make the city and the roads and the shops and schools and basic facilities and then bring people on to live there,,,,Makes sense right.. We here at mumbai are still waiting for even the basic facilities.
I did see quaint huts as in those old chinese pictures… but a totally westernized approach by the younger generation was well shocking. people say that the chinese look alike,, i would say aye.. they do.. in the way they are all attired alike.. I could see only shorts and miniskirts and spaghettis… I needed to check my perspectives.. That was the first day ofcourse….The rest follows…

Travels-Prologue

Back in india after a along hiatus yes.The whole year of 2010 (almost) spent in traveling. People say that travel is good and great. Mine are a testament to those words. From piracy attacks, to volcanoes,to strolling at opera house till midnight and missing the ferry back to being in a storm to causing a storm !!!
Its been a month since i have been back but glued to the tv with the world cup. 2mrw we are going to get the cup back (hopefully) and so i can start my blog on my travels .. i hope.

Are We Indian’s Cribbers

I really loved this piece in todays times (November 10th ) by pritish nandy, which blasted the press for being anti obama and henceforth we Indians become cribbers!!
He was quite eloquent in voicing his displeasure over the whole press (they can be qualified )community.
But does the sentiments expressed by people whose “paratha’s and home loan emi’s” depend on sensational “news” be even taken seriously?
It will be like taking a salesman to his word,considering windows as the best OS and the US as manna on earth.
If all of the above are True,then, Yes we Indians are cribbers by nature and Yes all those people “writing for a living” should be treated seriously.
Mr. Pritish Nandy, Iam sure that the so called news hounds would have got a hard -on by reading your article,imagine being taken seriously by the thinking public !!!

Its diwali, The city is looking gorgi.
I luv the festival of lights in mumbai. All those quaint streets and monuments lit up..Its the spirit of india unified with that of mumbai.
Well, as a good Indian , its “atithiti devo bhava” But this guest.. pluzz we don’t want you now.
I cannot go and sigh at the grand old lady, i cnt disturb those lazy , fat pigeons, i cannot have lunch at chetana’s,have iced tea at mondy’s, go and browse at those incomprehensible paintings at jehangirs…
Worst,, i cannot go to Fab ..
SOBO iam missing you this weekend, due to a guest..
Can i dare to say please go away now and come back later

How does one interpret the sentence”We are giving you the whole stuff, We recognize you as a nation, We …do this.. We do that…blah blah”
This just makes my ego go like.. “Who the hell are you to give me these things..”
Am i wrong ? Is it not the right of every individual to be what they want to be. Yes i compromise with my government , with my people, at my work place, but thats all due to reasons of my own creation!!
The people who have the right to question you, or even “use a we in your context ” should be your parents the people who own you , if we are technically right.
I am sure that there would have been many Palestinians whose blood would have boiled at those words.
Iam NOT talking here about the who’s and what’s and why … Iam talking here only about the attitude.
Yes Mr. Dore Gold,am sure you are willing to negotiate, but please come back when you resolved this ” we ” in the picture!!!

My query is.. why cannot India have this corporate challenge where instead of all this big boss, master chef, dancing stuff and what nots.. they can give a street to one individual and hope that they can transform it.
Compared to the number of such reality shows and the number of contestants in all those languages and all that channels, it will not be a huge task..
The permutation combination will be mind blogging.

Atticus Finch.
Couple this with Gregory peck being him and sigh.. manna from heaven. Long are the days of sighing over roman holiday and then discovering atticus finch.
Iam sure that wolverine can butt in sometimes, but its toss up between finch and reacher of course. Reacher is my new muse of course.
I wish that i knew his middle name.

The fairness industry

Mirror on the wall who is the fairest of us all…..

Iam sure that the mirror would be sooo happy to see its tag line been taken very seriously by all the ” fairer(sic) sex.

I was in china and there, they were occupying shelfs galore and then in Singapore, it was the same stuff -Korea didn’t disappoint me of course!

I was like.. okay ! now let me move on to Australia.. Man were they there too.

Full aisles filled up with fairness creams, lotions, face wash, body wash , body scrub, face scrub, hand scrub, feet scrub .. phew and what nots..

A ,god knows how much, forsaken, dollar industry and still women all over want to get fair and then get tanned and the cycle goes one.

All men out there you don’t need to smirk.. you aren’t far behind too…. You have your own aisles now. Lucky aren’t you !.

My question is will the mirror now include them also in the answer ?
